Rough surf, high winds and heavy showers. Even though the rain prediction is 10%, the rain is imminent. We’ve had monster surf earlier this week and it marks the milestones of ‘winter’ on the north shore of Kauai.
This past week has been one of great excitement. My website, where you are now finally reading this, is live!
It seemed to take quite a while to move from concept to completion. In looking back however, it only took a little more than a month. That’s really not so bad when you hear war stories about how long websites can take.
I could get into a whole discussion of what it takes to build a new website from a non-techie’s point of view but that’s not for today.
Today is about excitement, relief and satisfaction. Ultimately it’s about the ability to move forward. Forward in terms of posting my blogs about my journey and offering you, my readers, my thoughts and tips on retiring with business.
Which reminds me, we need to allow ourselves to take time to celebrate every step forward. No matter how small. Running a business can be a challenge with constant hurdles to vault over.
Let’s mark each milestone in some way. In our journal, with a reward, in a calendar. Whatever works for you.
I choose to bask in my joy. For a moment at least and then I am ready to write more entries into my journal and share the stories that might help you in your business and/or semiretired lifestyle.
Feel free to share your future dreams and plans in the comment section below – but only if you want to. 🙂
